Mode Summary

  • Per Screen: each display tracks focus independently.
  • Global: one focus target controls all displays.

Use Per Screen If You

  • work with different apps on different monitors,
  • want local focus behavior on each display,
  • switch tasks frequently across screens.

Use Global If You

  • present one primary app at a time,
  • want consistent cross-display privacy behavior,
  • prefer simpler “one source of focus” logic.

Important Note About Cover App

If a Cover App is selected, Per Screen can still feel globally locked. In v1.0.5, Veil shows a warning and provides a one-click “Clear Cover App” action.

How to Switch Modes

  1. Open Veil Settings.
  2. Go to Rules.
  3. Change Multi-screen Mode to Per Screen or Global.
  4. Test with your real app layout before calls.
