Why this permission matters
Veil is built around the foreground window. To keep that window clear and reduce the prominence of everything else, it needs macOS to allow access to the information required for detecting which window is active. Without that, the app cannot follow your workflow reliably.
What to do
- Open Veil and follow the first-run setup prompt if shown.
- Grant Accessibility permission to Veil in macOS settings.
- Return to Veil and bring different windows to the front to confirm the effect follows them.
Signs permission is missing
- The active window does not stay visually central when you switch apps.
- The effect feels inconsistent when moving between windows.
- Veil appears installed, but the foreground-window behavior is not working as expected.
